What is the date of the campaign?

The campaign has started already and will run annually going forward.
The Mt Kilimanjaro event is scheduled for the 24th June 2019

Why should we get involved now?
​
Cancer affects everyone, either directly or indirectly. There is no better time than now to be part of the Family of Medical and Health Care Practitioners that Care.
Accepting the challenge will assist in funding one or more of CANSA’s many initiatives, such as cancer education and care and support programmes.
To date, the I Believe Foundation has used funds raised to finance eye prostheses for children who have lost an eye to cancer, and funding of CANSA initiatives. Further funding will help the organisation finance additional children’s prosthesis, fund further CANSA initiatives and will
help raise awareness about depression and suicide and help facilitate training and skills development programmes.
Staff, patients and loved ones will look to see if you are part of the family of Medical and Health practitioners that care

What is the cost to post my signed pledge to me?
​
There is no cost to you to have the pledge posted within the borders of South Africa. Out side the borders of South Africa will be quoted on application

All signed We Care pledges of R5 000 has a personalised frame included at no addotional cost.

Where will the Banner be marketed?
​

Throughout the challenge, news updates will be published on social media using, but not limited to, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram

Local newspapers and selected radio stations.

The banner will be unveiled fully on arrival at the airport before departure, and throughout the Mt Kilimanjaro climb including the summit and hotel departure.

Your Name/Practice will receive mileage throughout the challenge and will be unveiled on the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro as one of the Family of Medical and Health Care Practitioners that Care

Medical students dressed in neon pink at the base camps will unveil the Health and Medical pledge banner and will give on social media testimonials of how Medical and Health practitioners inspired them to study to become medical and health practitioners.
